February 7, 2009 - Sami Vavra collects four gold medals, two individual and two on relay teams, to help Panther Valley capture the team title at the Schuylkill League Swimming Championships. Vavra wins the 200 IM in a time of 2:16.42 and also takes the 100 breaststroke in 1:07.81. She also participates on the winning 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay teams. Karoline Vavra cops a gold medal, touching the wall first in the 50 free, and is also part of the winning relay squads. PV tops runner-up Pottsville in points, 258-239.
