Pleasant Valley recognizes students, staff

The Pleasant Valley School Board recognized several students and staff for recent successes, and were presented with a special banner as well.

The Pleasant Valley High School chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America presented their gold level international/national champion competition award to the school board at the meeting on Jan. 25.

Four of the chapter’s officers held the award banner and stood next to their adviser Denise Hopely as she told the school board this was the first time PV-FBLA has won the international/national champion competition.

“PV is on the world map with this historic win,” Hopely said.

Hopely said the win represents all of the dedication of the students, as well as the encouragement they received from their families, faculty, staff, school board, and the community.

The officers then presented the banner to the school board members.
