January 29, 2001 - Lehighton’s Janie Neff scores her 1000th career point, but Northwestern places four players in double-digit scoring to gain a 59-53 victory. Neff enters the contest needing just two points to reach the milestone and hits it early in the first quarter with a short jumper. The Tigers, coached by Ron D’Argenio, trail heading into the fourth quarter but use a 16-6 frame to claim the win. Allison Hill scores a game-high 21 points for Northwestern, while Lauren Suter adds 13 and Becky Horn contributes 11. The winners also receive 10 from Ashley Mazziotta. Neff finishes with a team-high 15 for the Indians.
