Applications are open for the third annual PMVB Community Impact Grant, a program established by the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau in 2022 as a way to give back to local communities.

Local governments including, but not limited to, boroughs and townships as well as municipal and redevelopment authorities are eligible to apply for funding to support projects that aim to enhance the quality of life in Wayne, Pike, Monroe and Carbon counties.

Within its first two years, the PMVB Community Impact Grant has awarded $542,687 among 59 projects. A variety of initiatives have been funded, from upgrading baseball fields and playground equipment to restoring historical icons and beautifying small towns.

Proposals are due by March 3 for projects to be completed by Dec. 15. At least a 50% match is required, and the grant cap request is $20,000. Program funding is allocated from the Hotel Occupancy Tax.
