The Central Railroad of New Jersey has announced the appointment of Paul J. Turnbach, North Street, Jim Thorpe, as coal freight agent with headquarters in Jersey City, New Jersey. Mr. Turnbach has been serving as commerce assistant. The promotion is effective Jan. 1 of this year.

A native of Jim Thorpe and son of Mary Turnbach and the late Jerome Turnbach, he has been employed by the railroad for the past 18 years, having started as a clerk in Jersey City and later being named a rate clerk in Allentown.

He and Mrs. Turnbach are the parents of three daughters, Ann, Margaret and Kathleen, and three sons, Paul Jr., John and Robert.
