Man, 21, dies in West Penn crash

A 21-year-old man lost his life in a one-vehicle crash in West Penn Township Sunday evening, according to the Schuylkill County Coroner’s Office.

The name of the man has not yet been released.

The coroner’s office will conduct a post mortem CT Monday evening.

The crash happened just after 8 p.m. when the driver lost control while heading west on Route 895 before the intersection with Troxell Valley Road.

The vehicle crossed over the eastbound berm and rolled over several times before coming to rest on its roof.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene by a Schuylkill County deputy coroner. West Penn Fire Company and medical units responded. Township police are investigating.
