The Carbon County Re-Entry Committee is looking to educate various agencies and the public on how to help those reentering society following incarceration.

Joe Greco, chief juvenile probation officer and member of the committee, said that the group is holding a Learning Series education program at 2 p.m. Jan. 31.

The presentation will be in the conference room at 44 Susquehanna St., Jim Thorpe and will provide information on the committee’s mission, as well as capabilities to help those leaving prison.

This month’s presentation will be from Tammy Recker of Carbon-Monroe-Pike Drug and Alcohol Commission.

The Learning Series will be on the last Wednesday of each month, except for April and October. It will spotlight different county agencies and what is available.

Greco said anyone is welcome to attend the event.
