Carbon County sentencings

Carbon County Court judge Steven R. Serfass recently sentenced two people.

Jerry Lambert, 60, of Jim Thorpe, was charged with open lewdness, institutional vandalism of an educational facility, possession of marijuana, public drunkenness and scattering rubbish on Sept. 14.

He pleaded guilty to the charges of lewdness and institutional vandalism.

Judge Serfass sentenced him to six months on probation on the lewdness charge, along with a $100 LiveScan fee; a $50 monthly supervision fee, and court costs, and render 25 hours of community service.

On the vandalism charge, Serfass sentenced Lambert to serve 88 days to 12 months in jail, with credit for 88 days he’d already served.

He was also ordered to pay $226.15 restitution to the Jim Thorpe Police Department. Lambert also must render 50 hours of community service.

Jada Nicole Kemmerer, 22, of Lehighton, was charged with tampering with or fabricating physical evidence; possession of a controlled substance; and possession of drug paraphernalia on June 21.

Judge Serfass accepted her into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program for one year.

She was ordered to pay $450 to offset the cost of the program; to pay court costs and a $100 LiveScan fee; successfully complete a drug and alcohol treatment program; and render 50 hours of community service.
