The Marian girls basketball team continued its winning ways with another impressive win Friday.

Elsewhere, the Tamaqua girls swimming team posted a win against Moravian Academy.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Marian-Shenandoah

Marian won its fifth straight with a 50-20 rout of Shenandoah Valley in Schuylkill League play.

The Fillies (5-1), who took control with a 30-8 halftime lead, were led by Frankie Martinelli, who had 14 points. Carly Minchhoff added 11 for Marian.

Maddie Wasser had nine points for the Blue Devils (2-2).

Northampton’s Annie Beenders scored a game-high 16 points to help the Konkrete Kids down Pleasant Valley, 58-42, in Eastern Pennsylvania Conference action.

Isabella Pecuch added 12 points for Northampton (2-3).

Ryan Rosenberg had 14 points and Aryn Stivala chipped in with 13 for the Bears (2-5).

Jes Siminitis had a game -high 18 points and Jo Barnhart added 17 for the Tide (2-4).

Julianna Bowen had eight points for the Olympians, who remained winless (0-5).

Northampton stormed out to a 26-13 lead and went on to a 69-38 rout of Pleasant Valley in Eastern Pennsylvania Conference action.

Brody Graff had a team-high 22 points and J.J. Kolumber added 19 for Northampton (4-1).

Ian Prator paced Pleasant Valley (1-5) with 22 points.

Moravian-Tamaqua

Tamaqua earned a split with Moravian Academy in a non-league meet.

The Blue Raider girls rolled to a 115-50 win, while the boys suffered an 89-80 setback to the Lions.

Lexi Buchala (200 free, 500 free) and Savannah Wilson (200 IM, 100 breaststroke) had multiple victories for the Tamaqua girls.

Stephen Behun (50 free, 100 free) earned a pair of wins for the Blue Raiders in the boys meet.
