Lehighton state police release information on incidents

State police at Lehighton reported the following:

• Four people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 12:02 p.m. Dec. 2 at the intersection of Route 115 and the Merwinsburg Road in Chestnuthill Township.

Transported by personnel from the West End Ambulance to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono, East Stroudsburg, were Evelyn G. Corsale, 26, and Trevor Knox, 24, both of Cedar Knolls, New Jersey, and Giavanna J. Edwards, 19, and a 17-year-old girl, both from Saylorsburg.

The crash happened when Corsale was driving a 2012 Hyundai Elantra and attempted to turn left onto Route 115 from the Merwinsburg Road when it was struck by a 2012 Dodge Caravan driven by Edwards. She was southbound on Route 115 at the time.

Police said both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Police said Corsale was cited for a turning violation while Edwards was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed.

• Police said a boyfriend and girlfriend were cited for harassment by physical contact after they responded to a domestic dispute at 5:09 p.m. Dec. 2 at a property on Springhouse Lane in Polk Township.

A 46-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman, both from Kunkletown, were charged.

• Police were called to an assault on Heck Road in Polk Township at 9:59 p.m. Dec. 5. A 19-year-old Bath victim and a 35-year-old Lehighton woman reported the incident. The investigation is continuing.
