The Krasno-Moore Project, set to perform at Penn’s Peak, ranks among the entertainment highlights coming to local and regional venues over the next couple of weeks.

Eric Krasno and Stanton Moore, known for their work in funk and jam bands, pay tribute to women in music via the album “Book of Queens.” The Peak will also host tributes to Elvis Presley, Taylor Swift and Metallica.

Over at Mauch Chunk Opera House, the lineup includes soul/roots-rock band Bywater Call, plus tributes to Brian Setzer and Bruce Springsteen.

Dance companies from Brodheadsville, meanwhile, will perform as part of country singer Jessica Lynn’s holiday show at Stroudsburg‘s Sherman Theater.

• Ryan Pelton, 8 p.m. Dec. 8. Pelton, an Elvis Presley tribute artist, will perform his Elvis Christmas show. The actor and singer-songwriter, who won a local Elvis contest in Columbus, Ohio, in 1998, performed with the Legends in Concert show for nearly a decade.

• Let’s Sing Taylor, 8 p.m. Dec. 9. The tribute act performs the music of singer-songwriter Taylor Swift.

• The Four Horsemen, 8 p.m. Dec. 15. The Metallica tribute act focuses on the rock band’s first four albums, also performing tracks from Metallica’s self-titled 1991 album.

• Krasno-Moore Project, 8 p.m. Dec. 16. Eric Krasno, a founding member of funk bands Lettuce and Soulive, met Stanton Moore, a founding member of jam band Galactic and jazz quartet Garage A Trois, in the 1990s. Krasno and Moore released “Book of Queens,” a female-artists covers album also featuring organist Eric Finland, earlier this year.

• Bywater Call, 8 p.m. Dec. 8. Formed in 2017, the Southern soul/roots-rock band hails from Toronto, Canada. Bywater Call released sophomore album “Remain” in 2022.

• Rock This Town Orchestra Xmas Spectacular, 8 p.m. Dec. 15. The act, a Brian Setzer Orchestra tribute band, blends classic 1950s rock & roll and big band swing with the spirit of contemporary culture.

• BStreet Band, 8 p.m. Dec. 16. The band, founded in the Scranton/Hazleton area in the 1970s before moving to New Jersey in 1978, performs the music of Bruce Springsteen.

• “12 Years of Christmas,” 7 p.m. Dec. 8. The show will feature Chet Brown, Brian Bortz, Lou Czechowski and Daniel Gonzalez. Artwork by Victor Stabin, who has crafted Christmas cards featuring his daughters since 2003, will project above the band.

• Engelbert Humperdinck, 8 p.m. Dec. 9. Born in Madras, British Raj (now India), the pop singer released his first album in 1967. Humperdinck, who will perform a winter/holiday show, scored hit singles such as “Release Me,” “The Last Waltz” and “After the Lovin’.”

• Big Time Rush, 7 p.m. Dec. 10. Formed in 2009 in Los Angeles, the pop group starred in an eponymous Nickelodeon TV series from 2009 to 2013.

• Meshuggah, 7 p.m. Dec. 14. Formed in 1987, the Swedish extreme metal band has released nine studio albums, with its latest, “Immutable,” out in 2022.

• “An Evening with the Fab Five: 20 Years Later,” 8 p.m. Dec. 16. The original “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” experts - Ted Allen, Kyan Douglas, Thom Filicia, Carson Kressley and Jai Rodriguez - will discuss their journeys.

• The Blues Brotherhood, 7:30 p.m. Dec. 8. The act, a tribute to Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi’s Blues Brothers, will say farewell after nearly 20 years of performing. Tom “Bones” Malone, known for his work with The Blues Brothers, will join The Blues Brotherhood.

• Scythian, 7:30 p.m. Dec. 9. Formed in 2002 in Washington, D.C., the Celtic rock/Americana band will present its Ugly Christmas Sweater Party. Scythian, named after Ukrainian nomads, has released a dozen or so albums, including 2022’s “Christmas Out at Sea.”

• EagleMania, 7:30 p.m. Dec. 15 and 16. The group, performing the music of the Eagles, also plays solo hits by Don Henley, Glenn Frey and Joe Walsh. Constantine Maroulis, 2005 “American Idol” contestant and 2009 Tony nominee for “Rock of Ages,” will front the band.

• Gabe Dixon, 7:30 p.m. Dec. 15. Dixon’s discography also includes four solo albums and a 2022 set as a member of The Tedeschi Trucks Band. He has performed with acts such as Paul McCartney and Supertramp.

• Straight No Chaser, 3 and 7 p.m. Dec. 9. The male a cappella act, originating in 1996 as a student group at Indiana University, released debut studio album “Holiday Spirits” in 2008. Known for its vaudeville-style kitsch, Straight No Chaser released its 10th full-length album, “Yacht on the Rocks,” earlier this year.

• “A Christmas Carol,” 7:30 p.m. Dec. 16. In Charles Dickens’ classic story, miserable Ebenezer Scrooge receives life-altering visits from the ghosts of former business partner Jacob Marley, and Christmas Past, Present and Future.

• Hunter Hayes, 8 p.m. Dec. 8. Born in Louisiana, the singer-songwriter released his major-label debut album in 2011. Hayes’ hit singles include the country-radio No. 1s “Wanted” and “Somebody’s Heartbreak.” He released his latest album, “Red Sky,” earlier this year.

• Jessica Lynn: “A Very Merry Country Christmas,” 8 p.m. Dec. 9. The country singer-songwriter’s show, a fundraiser for Toys For Tots, will feature, among other dance companies, Cartesion Dance Academy and West End Academy of Dance, both of Brodheadsville.
