A Slatington man faces charges after he and another man stole a boat from a home in Delaware, according to police.

Delaware State Police charged Emanuel Carlo, 21, of Slatington, and Lucas Giovinco, 27, of Catasauqua, for the theft of a boat from a Seaford residence on Nov. 28.

At around 7:50 a.m., troopers responded to a residence on the 26700 block of Walker Road, Seaford, for a report of a Sunbird boat and trailer that were stolen overnight.

Troopers were notified the stolen boat and trailer were seen at the Hampton Inn on Sussex Highway in Seaford. Troopers located the stolen property in the parking lot and identified the suspects as Carlo and Giovinco, both of whom were not at the Hampton Inn when the stolen property was recovered.

Later that day, troopers apprehended Carlo and Giovinco on a traffic stop in Bridgeville.

They were charged with theft of a motor vehicle; conspiracy second degree; theft under $1,500; and criminal trespass.
