State police at the Frackville barracks reported on the following:

• Police said the United Parcel Service Customer Center in Hometown was cited for “false alarms/dialing devices” after police were called there at 2:49 p.m. Nov. 12 for an alarm activation.

Police said it was the eighth time in a 12-month period that police were called to the property at 4 Liberty St., Rush Township.

• Seth B. Heffelfinger, 19, of Barnesville, was cited for following too closely after a crash at 7:16 p.m. Nov. 25 on Route 309 (Claremont Avenue) in Hometown, Rush Township.

Police said he sustained suspected minor injuries and was transported by personnel from the Tamaqua Community Ambulance Association to an area hospital for a medical evaluation.

Police said he was driving a 1997 Subaru Impreza that “rear-ended” a 2016 Ford Explored driven by Joseph W. Dommel Jr., as the latter was attempting to make a left-hand turn onto Ye Old Dam Road. Dommel and two passengers were uninjured.

Police said both vehicles were towed from the scene.
