State police at Frackville

State police at the Frackville barracks reported on the following:

• Two people were charged after police were called to an incident at a bar on East Main Street in Ringtown at 10:47 p.m. Oct. 27.

Police said it was learned a 49-year-old Lansford man touched a 27-year-old woman bartender from Ringtown inappropriately. They said a physical altercation ensued in the parking lot of the bar, where a 35-year-old man from Ringtown struck the Lansford man, injuring his face.

Police said the Lansford man was charged with indecent assault and the assailant in the parking lot was charged with simple harassment.

• Theresa M. Nowlin, 61, of Dorchester, Massachusetts, was cited after a one-vehicle crash at 2 a.m. Nov. 18 on Interstate 81 in Ryan Township. She was uninjured.

Police said she was driving a 2015 Honda Accord southbound when she fell asleep. The car left the lane of travel and went onto the left shoulder, before crashing into an embankment and overturning.

Police said the car had disabling damages and was towed from the scene.

Police said Nowlin refused medical treatment by personnel from the Ryan Township Emergency and Rescue Squad.

• Felipe E. Jiminez, 18, of Mahanoy City, was uninjured when a 2013 BMW he was driving struck a deer on the northbound lane of Route 54 in Ryan Township at 12:59 a.m. Nov. 18. The car was towed from the scene.
