Northern Lehigh School Board approved the following personnel matters this week:

Administrative transfers

• Heather Rehrig, office paraprofessional, 10-month, to office paraprofessional, 12-month, at no change in salary, effective Feb. 1.

• Matthew Stevens, skilled maintenance, to lead maintenance, at no change in hourly rate, with an increased stipend lead maintenance, $1.50 an hour, effective Dec. 1.

Resignations

• Becky Adams, paraprofessional, Slatington Elementary School, last day Nov. 30.

• Zachary Wargula, school police officer, last day Oct. 27.

• Katie Eberle, paraprofessional, Northern Lehigh High School, last day Nov. 15.

• Kassandra Beiler, paraprofessional, Slatington Elementary School, last day Nov. 21.

• Tina Yocum, office paraprofessional, Northern Lehigh High School, last day Jan. 31.

• Maigan Sandt, cook’s helper, Peters Elementary School, last day Oct. 27.

• Beth Dietrich, cafeteria monitor, Peters Elementary School, $14.72 an hour, effective Nov. 14.

• Patricia Kurtz, cook’s helper, $14 an hour, 4.5 hours a day, effective Nov. 14.

• Mark Thomas, school police officer, $40,280, effective Nov. 20.

• Ruth Wackley, cafeteria hall monitor, high school, $14.72 an hour, effective Nov. 6.

• Patricia Kurtz, substitute custodian worker, $15 an hour, 2023-2024 school year.

• Becky Adams and Beth Dietrich, substitute secretary and/or substitute paraprofessionals, $13 an hour, 2023-2024 school year.

• Rescinded the appointment of Mickayla Reinstein, cook’s helper, that was approved at the Oct. 9 school board meeting.

• Unpaid volunteer: Jessica Freed, Peters Elementary, 2023-2024 school year.

• Game worker: Marshelle George

Bus drivers/aide

• Brian Benton, bus driver/aide from Krise Transportation to transport Northern Lehigh School District students for the 2023-2024 school year.

Administrative retirement incentive plan

• Approved the inclusion of Greg Derr, director of support services, in the Administrators Retirement Plan as stipulated in the Administrator Compensation Plan for the Northern Lehigh School District Middle Level Management Team adopted by the board on Jan. 10, 2022. Administrative retirees are eligible to receive health care benefits until age 65 per the group’s agreement with the school board.
