November 15, 1965 - District 11 holds its annual meeting at Parkland High School and votes overwhelmingly (422-11) on an amendment which would disallow all-star games in football, basketball and wrestling. The amendment is worded: “All-star games in football, basketball or wrestling will not be approved. A player participating in all-star games in football, basketball or wrestling will be ineligible for inter-scholastic sports for a period of one year from the date of such participation.” In addition, all its officers are re-elected which includes Herman P. Snyder of Slatington as the treasurer.
