Palmerton Police Department responded to 188 calls in October. The following were charged:
• Gregory Butler Jr., 33, Palmerton, one count of retail theft, for an incident Oct. 10 in the 600 block of Delaware Avenue.
• Jared Behler, 24, Palmerton, one count each of possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia, on Oct. 11 in the 500 block of Delaware Avenue.
• Dylan Fritzinger, 31, Palmerton, three counts of DUI controlled substance, on Sept. 2 at the intersection of Mauch Chunk Road and Franklin Avenue.
• Sara Tompkins, 29, Catasauqua, three counts of DUI controlled substance, on Sept. 5 at the intersection of Third Street and Delaware Avenue.
• Alexander Ulloa Guerra, 23, Slatington, one count each of DUI controlled substance, and obstructing administration of law or other governmental function, on Oct. 8 at the intersection of Mauch Chunk Road and Franklin Avenue.
• In addition, Palmerton Police issued 12 non-traffic citations: nine for street cleaning violations, and one each for disorderly conduct, harassment by physical contact, and for a borough code violation of causing damage with a skateboard.
• Palmerton Police also issued 27 traffic violation warnings and 36 traffic citations, eight for maximum gross weight of vehicles, seven for expired inspection, five for driving under suspension, two each for driving without a license, unlawful activities, obedience to traffic control devices, and general lighting requirements, and one each for speeding, careless driving, suspended registration, expired registration, required financial responsibility, tint violations, failure to sign registration card, and investigation by police officer.
