Lehighton
Lehighton Area School District will have two newcomers on its board of directors come December.
Newcomers Sean Gleaves and Zac Hunter joined incumbents Heather Neff, April Walker and Jeremy Glaush in securing the five four-year terms up for grabs Tuesday. The five ran unopposed as Brian Shaner and Nathan Foeller did not seek re-election.
Vote totals included Neff at 2,535, Walker at 2,356, Hunter at 2,184, Glaush at 1,998 and Gleaves at 1,970.
Incumbent Richard Beltz received 2,913 token votes in winning a two-year term running unopposed.
Palmerton
Kris Schaible and Alyson Krawchuk will join the Palmerton Area School District’s board of directors in December.
The duo joined incumbents Mary Jo King, Brandon Mazepa and Sherry Csah Haas in election-day victories.
The five were unopposed Tuesday.
Incumbents Tammy Recker and Audrey Larvey did not seek re-election.
Vote totals included King at 1,743, Mazepa at 1,672, Haas at 1,607, Krawchuk at 1,555 and Schaible at 1,381.
