LVHN to cut 240 positions in restructuring plan

The Lehigh Valley Health Network is planning to cut more than 200 positions as part of a recently announced restructuring plan.

“Restructuring is taking place within Lehigh Valley Health Network that will allow the organization to grow in areas where the community needs services and right-size in areas where demand is not as great,” according to a statement from the network.

As part of the restructuring, approximately 240 positions will be eliminated.

The network said that “zero” bedside clinical positions are among the cuts.

“LVHN is providing resources and support to help affected colleagues. LVHN will continue to hire physicians, advanced practice clinicians, nurses, and other health care professionals to ensure people have access to the world-class care LVHN provides,” according to the statement.
