McMichaels UMC

McMichaels UMC is holding a pizza sale in November. Orders are due with Martha Stout at 570-992-6742, on or before Nov. 9. Pickup is at the church on Nov. 18. The pizzas are all 12-inch, cheese only.

In addition, the church will hold a free Thanksgiving dinner for Thanksgiving Day in the church beginning at 2 p.m.

There will be no takeout meals and persons are asked to make reservations by calling 610-597-1030.

WP Lions change

The Western Pocono Lions Club has changed its meeting time to noon at Cherry’s Restaurant. The next meeting will be held on Nov. 16 at the Kresgeville restaurant.

Sensory Santa

Chestnuthill Parks and Recreation will host a Sensory Santa from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Dec. 5.

An invitation to the event is being extended to individuals with disabilities and their families to meet Santa at Chestnuthill Park in a sensory-friendly environment.

This Santa meet and greet will avoid bright lights and loud music.

Preregistration is required.

Complimentary cookies, cocoa and gifts are being provided. There will also be opportunities for photos with Santa.
