October 16, 1964 - A second-quarter touchdown stands up for Lehighton as the Indians take over sole possession of first place in the Lehigh Valley League with a 7-0 victory over Whitehall. Behind the running of Jake Boyer, Randy Rex, Gene Semanoff and Dan Novatnack, the Tribe put together a 66-yard scoring drive. Boyer caps the march with a 4-yard TD with 47 seconds left until halftime. Lehighton’s stingy defense allows just 140 yards in the contest and comes up with three stops in the second half - one on an interception by Terry Snyder and another on a fumble recovery by Boyer.
