Death of 2 teens in Schuylkill ruled a homicide

The deaths of two people found in a wooded area in New Philadelphia early Tuesday morning were ruled as homicides.

Police identified one of the victims as Hunter Mock, 18, of New Philadelphia. The other, according to police, is a 16 year-old boy from New Philadelphia.

Police had been searching for Mock, who was last seen Monday afternoon, and Angelito Carabello, 16, New Philadelphia, who was last seen Sunday evening.

The bodies were found at 3:25 a.m. in a wooded area along Ferndale Road, approximately one mile east of Route 209.

Autopsies were performed Thursday morning at the Dauphin County Forensic Facility. The cause and manner of both deaths was ruled a homicide, according to state police.

The Troop L Major Case Team is continuing its investigation. More information will be released as it becomes available.
