“We found through survey of the situation is that the water is coming in behind the top lintel, so that has to be sealed off,” he said. “So that’s the job that is being given to Mr. Pierce’s organization.”

In other construction projects, the commissioners ratified the approval the job order with Gordian for $9,554.60 for additional masonry repairs on the Correctional Facility Roof Project.

They also approved three change orders for the Courthouse Renovation Expansion Project. Two of them are additional costs, and one is a deduction.

LTS Plumbing & Heating was seeking an additional $36,282.18 for sprinkler modifications; and Lobar Construction asked for an additional $49,490.24 for various changes. The deduction was from Wind Gap Electric in the amount of $11,754 through a software credit.

Moyer took a moment to explain the budget adjustment of $108,913.

“That is all services of Children and Youth,” he said. “We have a large overlay in the budget and then we make adjustments as needed.”
