State police at Fern Ridge

State police at Fern Ridge reported on incidents:

• Police were summoned to an incident at 9:34 a.m. July 14 along Mountain Road in Jackson Township.

Although police labeled the incident a “theft,” they said a 76-year-old man from Stroudsburg told them three packages were stolen from outside his residence. However, the man said he is unsure if the theft occurred or if the packages were mailed by accident.

• David Duncan, 35, of Fogelsville, was cited for harassment by communications after police received a complaint from his wife at 8:50 a.m. July 14.

Police said they were called to a property along Key Glen, Penn Forest Township, where a 36-year-old woman from Albrightsville told them she received harassing text messages. Police said at one point, Duncan sent 68 text messages to his wife.

• Carol Marsteller, 60, of Effort, was cited for a dog law violation after her dog jumped a fence and engaged in an altercation with another dog at 10:10 a.m. July 12.

It happened along Brian Lane in Chestnuthill Township. Police said a 29-year-old woman from Kunkletown was walking her child and her dog on the street when Marsteller’s dog initiated the incident that resulted in minor injuries to the victim’s dog.

• Carl Klinger, 47, of Bath, was charged with criminal trespass after police were called at 6:21 p.m. July 12 to a residence on Fir Road in Chestnuthill Township.

Police said Juan Garcia, 43, of Easton, told them Klinger walked onto his property and into his house after the property was posted with a no trespassing sign.

• Police are investigating an identify theft/theft by deception case on June 29 at the intersection of Clubhouse and Allegheny drives in Chestnuthill Township.

Police said a 29-year-old man from Blakeslee reported a theft. During the investigation, police said, it was determined the man gave out his personal information.

• A 51-year-old man from Stroudsburg reported a theft by deception to state police at 2:45 p.m. June 28.

Police said a Mountain Road, Jackson Township resident reported someone obtained a check and washed it, resulting in a loss of $2,759.
