Kevan Gentile was a 2016 graduate of Jim Thorpe Area High School and competed on the wrestling team in the 106-pound weight class, where he eventually became the Olympians first and only ever PIAA State Wrestling Champion in 2016.

In 2015 and 2016, Gentile won both the District 11 and Southeast Regional tournaments, becoming the only wrestler in school history to win both tournaments twice.

Gentile finished his career with an exceptional 142-25 record, including a 42-1 record in his senior season and a 41-3 record in his junior campaign.

Gentile was named to the All-Pennsylvania State Wrestling Team in both his junior and senior seasons.
