It’s grass mowing season, but a Franklin Township official wants residents to watch where their clippings land.
At the township supervisors meeting, Secretary Brenda Cressley reminded residents not to mow their grass onto the streets.
“It causes safety hazards for motorcyclists and bicyclists, and it also blocks our township drains,” Cressley said.
Also, supervisors are looking for letters of interest from people who want to serve on the Building Committee Board.
Submit letters to Franklin Township, 900 Fairyland Road, Lehighton, PA 18235.
Supervisors also approved a request from the Lower Towamensing Township supervisors on behalf of the Carbon County Fair Association for the Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Police to assist with traffic control during the Carbon County Fair from Aug. 7-12.
