Broadband meetings to be held in Carbon

The Carbon County Community Foundation is partnering with the PA Broadband Development Authority to hold two community meetings this week to get an idea on the future of broadband in the county.

Sharon Alexander, executive director of CCCF, said in a statement that “residents are invited to come ask questions and share their feedback about broadband.”

The feedback will then be used to create a five-year plan for the state on the expansion of broadband in underserved communities.

The meetings will be held on Friday in Palmerton and Nesquehoning.

The first session will take place from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Palmerton Area Library, 402 Delaware Ave.

The second session will be held from 1-2:30 p.m. at the Panther Valley Elementary School, 1 Mermon Ave.

Meetings are open to all residents, but registration is requested at www.cccfoundpa.org/broadband.

Children are welcome to the meetings.
