Trucker cited after Rt. 33 crash

Rosario Giordano, 55, of Columbia, New Jersey, was cited by state police at Stroudsburg with “following too closely” after a crash at 8:59 a.m. July 7 on Route 33 in Hamilton Township.

Police said he was driving a 2016 Freightliner northbound and was following a 2019 Chevrolet Trax driven by Diane G. Ensley, 55, of Bethlehem. Police said both vehicles were negotiating a right curve in the roadway when Ensley stopped the Trax because traffic had come to a standstill, at which time the car was rear-ended by the rig.
