Sunday worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. 3rd St., Lehighton begins at 9:30 a.m. Rev. Nancy Moore presides. Summertime congregational fellowship follows in Luther Hall.

Community Vacation Bible School is from 6-8 p.m. Aug. 1-3. The theme: “Pets Unleashed! Where Jesus Cares Fur Us.” Free preregistration for youngsters pre-K through grade 6 is available by contacting the church office during business hours.

For those desiring to schedule a baptism or desiring to seek membership at Trinity, phone the church office. Sessions are by appointment during the summer.

The Food Pantry continues to be open Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (and third Tuesday from 5:30-7 p.m.) with an outdoor drive-up setting. Residents in need who reside in the Lehighton Area School District are eligible to receive prepackaged supplemental food items. Participants must remain in their vehicle at time of pick up. Pantry volunteers will assist pedestrians/those not in vehicles.

July 4 is a Tuesday. The food pantry will be closed on the holiday. The distribution will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 5.

The Trinity Thrift Store hours are Wednesdays 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donation drop-offs are accepted during store hours Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, limited to five bags or boxes.
