Bobby Chevalier, Lakeview owners association president, asked Towamensing Township Board of Supervisors last week about fire company staffing and concerns about Beltzville Park traffic with regard to state police.

The board said an individual making the call may get a quicker response.

Resident Elaine Bartholomew brought concerns to the board about a neighbor’s “illegal apartment” and asked about sound ordinances.

Solicitor Nanovic explained the difficulties of enforcing noise ordinances. It was suggested that she get a lawyer to help resolve this issue.

The township is waiting to see what the state does regarding rules for electric bikes to make an ordinance/resolution for the soccer field.

The Historical Commission started restoration of the school house on May 31 and had six volunteers. Members and volunteers are needed.

A burn ban was put into effect until the next rain.

The next meeting of the board of supervisors will be at 7 p.m. July 6.
