Dumond on Academic All-District Team

Bloomsburg University’s Brianna Dumond was recently named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.

Dumond, a Tamaqua graduate, was one of five members of the school’s cross country and track and field team to receive the honor.

Dumond holds a 3.99 cumulative grade point average while majoring in speech-language pathology and has competed in eight PSAC Championship events during nine seasons. This year during the indoor season, she helped the DMR team to a third-place finish at the indoor championships. Dumond hit two PR’s during the outdoor season, and she has finished as high as 42nd overall at the PSAC Cross Country Championships.

The CSC Academic All-District award recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their academic and athletic accomplishments during the 2022-23 academic year. To be eligible, athletes must maintain a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (both in graduate school and as an undergraduate for grad students), participate in at least 50% of the team’s games, and meet other nomination criteria specified by the CSC.
