State police at Lehighton - crashes

State police at Lehighton report on the following crashes:

• Brijanna R. Dunlap, 27, of Kunkletown, was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed after a three-vehicle crash at 5:34 p.m. May 20 on Scenic Drive in Polk Township.

Police said she was driving a 2000 Toyota Corolla that rear-ended a 2020 Jeep Patriot driven by Jeannie Bozeman, 51, of Albrightsville, pushing it into a 2015 Mazda CX5 operated by Brenda J. Materne, 60, of Henryville. Police said the Patriot and Mazda stopped t allow ducks to cross the highway.

Police said Dunlap sustained possible injuries and was transported to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Monroe Campus, Stroudsburg, while Bozeman sustained suspected minor injuries and was taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono, East Stroudsburg.

Police said the Corolla needed to be towed from the scene.

• Tyler M. Williams, 27, of Lehighton, escaped injuries when a car he was driving struck a deer at 5:27 a.m. May 15 on Interchange Road in Franklin Township.

Police said he was driving 2018 Ford Escape north/east when the deer entered its path. The car sustained disabling damages and was towed from the scene.
