Northern Valley opened its legion season Tuesday with a victory.

Shaun O’Donnell struck out 10 batters in just four innings, and Northern Valley scored eight runs in the second inning as the Chargers opened their Lehigh Valley Legion season with a 9-1 victory over Lower Macungie.
O’Donnell allowed just four hits and one run, while not walking anyone. He also smacked a triple, scored two runs and stole a base to help his cause.
Nicholas Scott had two hits for the winners, while Evan Druckenmiller knocked in two runs.

Yankees-Berlinsville
Chad Cooperman and Derek Holmes both had two hits to help the Northern Yankees gain a 9-6 Blue Mountain League win over Berlinsville on Sunday.
Cooperman, Northwestern’s head baseball coach, scored three runs while Holmes, a Tiger graduate, knocked in four runs.
The winners (3-2) also received a two-run homer from Tommy Dunleavy.
For the Braves (1-3), Jim Thorpe product Noah Snisky finished with a pair of hits and a run.
