Chestnuthill Scouts host flag ceremony

Boy Scout Troop 101 held a flag-raising ceremony at Chestnuthill Community building on Memorial Day,

This year, along with Boy Scout Troop 101, there were members 101 Troop G.

The flag was raised and two Scouts shared a poem they had written. The National Anthem concluded the ceremony.

REMEMBER

By Kellen Hinton

Someone’s Child, left long ago,

A strange Land,

An unmarked grave, fields of green,

Resting quiet,

Just eighteen,

Winds of freedom, wash us now,

Remember him,

This I vow.

ON THIS MEMORIAL DAY

By Jacob Schuler

Remember those who served before.

Remember those who are no more.

Remember those who serve today.

Remember them as we eat and play.

Remember our protectors who are not home today.

Remember them all on Memorial Day.
