State police at the Pocono barracks said a 27-year-old Bethlehem man left his wallet in the dining area of the Hickory Run Service Plaza in Penn Forest Township, and when it was returned to him $300 in cash was missing from it.

Police said the man was dining at the Burger King area of the plaza and realized after leaving the area that he did not have his wallet. He went back to the plaza looking for the wallet. Police said an employee returned it to him but the cash that was in it was gone.

Police said the theft happened between 3-3:30 p.m. May 24.
