A vintage Cadillac was damaged Monday morning in Franklin Township.

The owner went to pull the car out of his garage to perform some maintenance but as he did so the brakes failed.

The car went down a steep driveway down to Long Run Road.

Just before the roadway the Caddy struck a utility pole and a tree. The driver was not injured.

The operator of the Allpoints rollback had to use extreme caution on recovering the unit without additional damage.

Franklin township fire police maintained traffic control at the scene, shutting down the roadway.

Franklin township police are investigating the incident.
