Fire companies from three communities responded to a brush fire Sunday afternoon in Towamensing township.

The fire was reported around 4:30 p.m. as a brush fire on the 300 block of Hill Road. When firefighters arrived on scene they found a camper or small trailer also involved.

Smoke from the blaze could be seen for miles.

Trachsville, Aquashicola and Palmerton fire companies responded to the incident.
