TURNPIKE CRASHES

State police at Pocono barracks reported on the following crashes:

• Samantha E. Bryant, 33, of Sunbury, was cited for driving without a license after a crash on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

It happened at 1:06 a.m. May 23 at mile marker 84.2 in Penn Forest Township. Bryant was uninjured.

Police said she was driving a 2016 Ford Explorer southbound when it struck a bear that traveled across the center concrete barrier.

• Adelaide M. DiDomenico, 22, of Ambler, was injured in a one-vehicle crash on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

State police at the Pocono barracks said it happened at 1:13 p.m. May 17 at mile marker 75.3 in Parryville Borough.

The driver was transported by Lehighton Ambulance Association personnel to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Carbon Campus, Franklin Township. Police said the severity of her injuries is unknown.

Police said she was driving a 2012 Ford Fusion that struck a center concrete barrier, traveled across the roadway and hit an embankment.

She was cited for the incident.

• A passenger in a car driven by an Effort man that struck a tire on the Pennsylvania Turnpike sustained suspected minor injuries, according to stat e police at the King of Prussia barracks.

Police said Cameron P. Hoag, 21, was treated at the scene by personnel from the Grand View Medical Company but did not require a transport to a medical facility.

Police said the mishap occurred at 11:05 p.m. May 23 at mile marker 41.5 in Milford Township when the northbound 2015 Toyota Sienna driven by Dean P. Hoag, 57, also of Effort, struck the tire and came to a controlled stop on the right shoulder of the road.
