Peter Barlak, 66, of Effort, was cited by state police at the Fern Ridge barracks for disorderly conduct after an incident at 5:25 p.m. May 11 at the intersection of Cascade and North Rocky Mountain drives in Chestnuthill Township.

Police said troopers were alerted after clearing a motor vehicle crash scene that a disturbance occurred from a passing motorist.

During their investigation, police determined Barlak was traveling at a high rate of speed, passing several firetrucks in an emergency zone when he was stopped by fire police members.

Barlak was advised the lane was closed until responders could move the vehicle involved in the crash, but police said he became irate and began cursing and yelling at multiple firefighters and fire police members as he drove away at a high rate of speed.
