George Gerhard, of the Hometown Volunteer Fire Co. No. 1, issued the company’s report for April during the recent Rush Township supervisors’ meeting.

The company reported: vehicle fires, 3; vehicle accident, 1; EMS assists, 3; chief requests, 2; trees down, 3; tanker task force, 1; brush fires, 2 and commercial fire, 1.

Company volunteers had various training sessions throughout the month and a recent “tag day” was successful, Gerhard said.
