The Berlinsville Braves dropped their Blue Mountain League season opener at Bryfogle Park on Sunday, losing 13-7 to the Avengers.

Jim Thorpe graduate Noah Snisky went 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs for the Braves, while Pleasant Valley product Brandon Ratti contributed a hit, a stolen base and two runs scored.

Berlinsville, which led 5-1 until the Avengers went ahead with a six-run fifth inning, also received a solo homer and two runs from Owen Fischel.

The winners were paced by Tyler LePage, who collected two hits and knocked in four runs.

The Braves (0-1) return to action Wednesday when they host the Limeport Bulls.
