Northern Lehigh School Board — Personnel
Northern Lehigh School Board approved the following personnel matters last week:
• Retirement of Robert Bechtel, high school custodian, effective June 30, after five years of service.
• Resignation of Tara Trainer, Bookkeeper II, effective May 9.
• Kayleigh Snyder, Technology Support Technician - Level I, $41,000, effective May 24.
• Ingrid Duran, paraprofessional substitute for the 2022-2023 school year at the 2022-2023 substitute noninstructional rates as approved on the Supplemental Personnel Salary Schedule.
• Tracy Hoffman, school nurse for Summer STEAM Camp, Open Horizons/I.N.S.P.I.R.E. and ESY Summer Program for up to five hours a day at the Teacher Collective Bargaining Agreement amount of $30 per hour, plus the one-time completion program premium pay of up to $1,000.
• A tuition-free one-week elementary summer band program and also approve a stipend for summer band program director, Steven Jonkman, whose stipend will be $1,000 to be paid out of ESSER funds for learning loss. The summer band program will run Aug. 14, 2023 until Aug. 18.
• A tuition-free secondary summer band program, and also a stipend for summer band program director David Carroll, whose stipend will be $1,000 to be paid out of ESSER funds for learning loss. The summer band program will run Aug. 14-18.
• An Extended School Year Program for students with special needs from July 10-27. The program will run weekly, Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to noon, and to further employ people for the ESY program: Kayla Perkowski, Ryan Stillwell, and Lynn Werley-Olesak as instructors, up to $1,000; Stephanie Stillwell, Sheila White, Tara Hengst, Heather Kuntz, Jennifer Kuhns, and Robin Blocker, paraprofessionals, hourly rate, up to $750.
• Administration to advertise and hire four summer workers, with the rate not to exceed $12.50 per hour.
