Slatington Borough Council approved the following actions this week:

• Granted Tiffany Rehrig-Schaeffer permission to hold the annual Halloween Parade on Oct. 28, rain date Oct. 29.

• A request from Lindsay Taylor, Northern Lehigh Recreation Association, requesting use of Victory Park and pavilion for its Bulldog Blast Summer Recreation Program. Dates: June, 23, June, 30, July 7, July 14, July 21, July 28, Aug. 4.

• Authorized Slatington Public Library to apply for a grant through Wind Creek for the new elevator at the library.
