Chestnuthill approves land development plan

Chestnuthill Supervisors approved a plan from Brick Linder of Linder Engineering LDP Engineering along with Denise Suma and Carol Miller representing Developmental Education Services Foundation Inc.

The group presented a revised land development project for the Developmental Education Services of Monroe County.

Currently the Developmental Education Services are in the Pleasant Valley Ecumenical Network building on Route 209, but DS has purchased three lots on Jenna Drive just north of the intersection to align with on 115.

“The project includes approximately a 4,000-square-foot building that will be used for development education services and to provide services to adults,” Linder said.

There was some discussion on how many adults would attend regularly at the adult day care facility and if clients, would be bused to the new facility.

Suma and Miller explained it would be a typical business day, 9 to 5, and the patrons get dropped off at the facility and get picked up at the end of the day.
