Mr. and Mrs. Hilbert Haas of Lehighton celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on April 15, 2023.

Mrs. Haas is the former Fran Pratcher of Summit Hill, daughter of the late Frank and Susan Pratcher. She is employed as a crossing guard in Lehighton for over 50 years. She is a retired employee of the Lehighton Area School District.

Mr. Haas is the son of the late Calvin and Rebecca (Nothstein) Haas of Lehighton. He is retired from Haas’ Grocery Store in Lehighton.

Hilly was also a retired school bus driver and crossing guard in Lehighton.

The couple have two children, Ken, at home, and Susan, wife of Roger Wirth of Tioga. The couple have two granddaughters, Katelin Rose and Chloe Elizabeth at home, Tioga. Katelin is a graduate of Mansfield University, Mansfield, and Chloe Elizabeth, has studied at LCCC, Schnecksville.
