April 26, 1962 - Lehighton captures all but one event to earn a 79-16 Lehigh Valley League track victory over Stroudsburg. Jim Foster leads the way for the Indians, coached by Mike Ebbert, with two individual wins and a hand in the relay triumph. Foster crosses first in the 220 and also claims the broad jump. He teams with Bob Klotz, Paul Keiser and Denny Leyer to take the 4/5-mile relay. Other Indians to win events include Bill Lindermuth (100), Keiser (440), Klotz (880), Dick Steigerwalt (shot put), John Rhodes (discus), Dave Werner (high jump) and Ray Ziegenfuss (pole vault).
