Lehigh Valley crashes

State police at Bethlehem reported on crashes involving people from the Times News region:

• A 24-year-old Danielsville man was cited following a crash at 2:44 p.m. March 12 in Bethlehem.

Police said it happened at the intersection of Route 22 and Schoenersville Road when a vehicle he was driving rear-ended another vehicle, operated by a 30-year-old man from Allentown.

Police said the Danielsville man fled the scene.

• One vehicle had minor damages and the other left the scene of a crash at 7:49 a.m. March 21 on Route 22 in Whitehall.

Police said Delia Knowles, 21, of Kunkletown, was cited after the crash.

Police said she was driving a vehicle that struck the rear of a vehicle operated by a 35-year-old Stroudsburg man as both were westbound.

Police said the victim’s car had rear bumper damages.

• Jason A. Frey, 22, of New Tripoli, was cited after a two-vehicle crash at 8:01 a.m. March 17 at the intersection of Old Post and Bellview roads in North Whitehall Township.

Police said he was uninjured but the second driver, James A. Strohl, 43, of Slatington, was hurt and transported by personnel from the Northwestern EMS corps to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. Police said the extent of his injuries is unknown.

Police said the crash happened when Frey, driving a 2005 Chevrolet, proceeded into the intersection and his vehicle was struck by a 2017 Dodge Charger driven by Strohl. The latter vehicle had to be towed from the scene, police said.

• Travis Moll, 32, of Catasauqua, was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 12:54 a.m. March 3 at the intersection of routes 309 and 100 in Heidelberg Township.

Police said he was treated at the scene by personnel from the Cetronia Ambulance Corps.

Police said he was driving a 2001 Chevrolet southbound that went off the roadway and struck a utility pole.

Moll was ejected from the vehicle, which continued over a curb and grassy area before impacting a guide rail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Police said Moll was cited for the crash.

• Luce Alcantara Martinez, 47, of Whitehall, had minor injuries in a crash at 3:35 a.m. March 25 on Old Post Road in Washington Township.

Police said she was transported by personnel from the Northern Valley ambulance to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown.

Police said she was driving a 2017 Kia Forte westbound and a deer ran into the roadway. The car was towed from the scene.

• Michael T. Reimer, 48, of Palmerton, was cited with failure to drive at a safe speed after a two-vehicle crash at 4:41 p.m. March 17 on Weaversville Road in East Allen Township.

Police said he was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer southbound when it traveled over the crest of an elevated portion of the road and struck a 2018 Ford F-150 driven by Donna M. Newhart, 58, of Walnutport.

Police said Reimer sustained minor injuries. Newhart and a passenger, Alan R. Newhart, 60, also of Walnutport, were uninjured.

• David L. Shann Jr., 48, of Kunkletown, was injured in a crash at 7:57 a.m. March 20 on Indian Trail Road in Allen Township.

He was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg, Bethlehem.

Police said he was driving a 2014 Jeep Patriot westbound when he failed to negotiate a turn. The Jeep left the roadway, struck a pole and rolled onto its roof. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Police said Shann was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed.

• Three people had minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash that was investigated by state police at the Fogelsville barracks at 7:24 a.m. April 11.

It happened at 7096 Decatur Street in Lynn Township.

Police said two New Tripoli men and a 3-year-old girl, also from New Tripoli, were transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital Center after the crash between a 2013 Toyota and a 2020 Mercury.
