The Friends of Tuscarora and Locust Lake State Parks will have its first volunteer project of the season Saturday at Locust Lake State Park in Barnesville.

The Friends’ board meeting will be held at the program shelter beginning at 9 a.m. Everyone is welcome.

The April project will begin at 10 a.m. Volunteers will tackle campsite maintenance and work in groups to clean campsites 89-213. Work includes cleaning fire rings, picking up debris, raking washouts and clearing leaves.

There will be tools available but volunteers may bring their own.
