State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported on an overturned truck that spilled about 800 pounds of kerosene onto Drakes Creek Road in Penn Forest Township.
The crash occurred at 9:22 a.m. April 4 when Nathan O. Ohl, 31, of Lehighton, was driving a 2016 International Harvester vehicle northbound and was negotiating a right curve.
Police said the unit traveled across the southbound travel lane, off the left shoulder and struck a tree, overturning onto its right side.
Ohl was uninjured. Police said he was cited for the crash.
The Harvester was towed from the scene.
Police said Carbon County Emergency Management Agency and Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection officials were on scene, as were representatives of the Penn Forest Fire Department, Lehighton EMS and PPL Electric Utilities (for downed wires).
