Northern Lehigh School Board approved the following personnel matters this week:

Retirement/ resignations

• Retirements, Sheryl Hegedus, reading specialist at Peters Elementary, effective the end of the school year, after 18 years of service; Deborah Peters, head cook at Peters Elementary, effective the end of this school year, after 24 years of service; and Arthur Kuntz, custodian at Northern Lehigh Middle School, effective June 30, after 23 years of service.

• Resignation, Megan Schmick, paraprofessional, effective March 31.

Reappointment/ Appointments

• Megan Rex, ELDP instructional paraprofessional ESSER Funded, $16.39 an hour, effective the 2023-2024 school year (continuation of employment).

• Samuel Yadush, high school special education teacher, $52,750 (Step 1, Bachelor’s 2022-2023 Salary schedule), effective May 8.

• Ingrid Duran, cafeteria/hall monitor at Slatington Elementary, $14.29 an hour, effective March 27.

• Crystal Buck, high school cafeteria cook’s helper, Peters Elementary head cook, $23.31 an hour, effective Aug. 28.

• David Dries, bus/sub drivers/aides from Brandywine Transportation to transport Northern Lehigh School District students for the 2022-2023 school year.

• Jessica Reichard, paraprofessional, hourly rate (retroactive to March), to be funded through ESSER III for After School.

• Michele Brown, Slatington Elementary Yearbook, $650.
